Meet the Photographer

When I was 8 years old, I went to summer camp for the first time. Packed away in my gear was my mother's Kodak Instamatic. I don't remember a lot about camp that year, but I do remember how I felt about the light spilling through the birch trees in the central Minnesota forest. Somewhere I still have a print of the resulting image. That photograph of the forest floor didn't live up to my experience, but I've been trying to capture the light ever since.

Portrait and Event Rates

Sitting fees start at $150 for an hour-long session.* Images are then uploaded to a personal web page where you and your friends and family can view and order prints. You can also share the link to your site through social media. Printing costs are reasonable (for example, $1.75 for a 4x6, $5.75 for a 5x7), and personalized cards and gifts are also available if you are interested. Prints are created through a professional lab and shipped directly to you. If you are unhappy with your prints for any reason, I will work with you until you are, at no extra charge.

If you would like to have digital copies of all images and make your own prints, sitting fees start at $250.* Because quality varies greatly between print labs, I regret that I cannot guarantee the quality of the prints you receive.

Event and assignment rates also start at $150 per hour spent on site.*

*For every hour spent on site or in a portrait session, I usually spend four to five hours in digital post-processing, adding artistic touches to make your images stand out.
